Can I put the DecKing Kit over my lawn or directly on the ground?
The DecKing Kit needs to be placed on flat, level ground. It can be placed on any hard standing surface such as a patio or gravel. It can be placed directly onto a lawn - although we recommend adding landscaping fabric between the ground and the decking. You can add this to your order in our shop. If you are using our installation completion service, and you add the landscape fabric at checkout; we will install the fabric for you.
Can I attach multiple kits together to create a unique shape or design?
Yes the kits are modular and multiple kits can be attached together with the 70mm screws provided in the kit. So your free to create your perfect deck attaching as many kits together as you like. If you select our Installation completion service we will build the kits for you to your specifications/design.
I want a raised deck or my garden is on a slope. Can I use a Prestige DecKing kit?
Yes but you will require some additional materials bespoke to your project which we can add to your kit at an additional cost. Please order your Prestige DecKing Kit and in the special instructions box tell us you need raised decking. We will contact you back and make the required additions for you. We will supply the additions for raising your kit with instructions for self assembly but we would recommend using our installation completion service if your decking is raised.
I'm good at DIY, why should I use your Installation Completion Service?
We have no doubt that if your good at DIY, then you'll do an excellent job of installing the DecKing kit - we designed it for self builders just like you. But we are DecKing Experts, We do this everyday. You may appreciate that your decking was installed by us, for added piece of mind for your 10 year warranty . But it is also a matter of installation time; what may take you a weekend to build, may take us a few hours to complete. Meaning you can just relax and enjoy your dream decking.
I would like DecKing steps, can you supply steps? Will they be in kit form?
Yes and Yes. These would be a bespoke addition to your project at an additional cost and will be supplied with installation instructions. Please order your Prestige DecKing Kit and notify us in the special instructions box that you would like steps; we will then add the steps to your kit. We would also recommend using our installation completion service if you would like steps.
What is included in the DecKing Installation Completion Service?
We will complete the installation of your Prestige DecKing Kit for you including;
1. Move materials from kerbside delivery location to build location.
2. Installation of landscape fabric (if purchased).
3. Installation of the DecKing Subframe.
4. Installation of the DecKing.
5. Installation of the handrails (if applicable).
6. Installation of the pergola.
7. Installation of the fascia boards.
Essentially, everything - all you need to do is relax and enjoy your completed new decking.
How and when will my Prestige DecKing Kit be delivered?
We will deliver your Prestige DecKing Kit within 7 days of your order. We will confirm delivery date by email. Deliveries are made between 8am - 6pm. On the day of delivery you may receive a text with a delivery window. Deliveries are kerb side delivery only; delivered via a third-party courier who offer a kerbside, palletised delivery service. The pallet dimensions will be approx. 1.2m x 1.2m and can be up to 2.2m high. Depending on the size of the DecKing Kit purchased; the amount of pallets will vary from 1 -3 pallets.
Is my Prestige DecKIng Kit a suitable base for a shed, summer house or other outbuilding?
Yes. We also have an extensive range of sheds, summer houses and outbuildings and our team can install those for you too.
I added the DecKing completion service, when will you install the decking?
We will book your installation team for the day following your delivery. We will confirm delivery and installation dates by email once we process your order. Please allow one working day for us to process your order and contact you.
I would like a Pergola or Gazebo, can I have one with the Prestige DecKing kit?
Yes. There are two kits that include Pergolas, but you can also add any Pergola or gazebo from our range and add them to your Prestige DecKing Kit order. If you select our completion service for your DecKing kit we will also install the pergola or gazebo at no additional cost.
I ordered a Prestige DecKing Kit, it has been longer than 1 business day but I have not received an email?
The first email you should receive is an automated order confirmation directly after your purchase. The second email will included your delivery / installation dates which will be sent within one business day when we process your order. If you have not received these; please check your emails junk or spam folder as they are most likely there. If not, please call us.
Does my Prestige Timber DecKing Kit require annual maintainance?
Yes. Outdoor timber should be treated to keep it supple and prevent any shrinking/damage occurring. We would also suggest that you take this opportunity to give the deck a quick clean down prior to re treatment, so that you are starting the next year with clean and freshly treated decking. If you dont want to do this yourself then DecKing also provides maintenancece services.
